  Creed III is a 2023 American sports drama film directed, produced by and starring MichaelB. Jordan( in his  managerial debut) from a  script by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin. It's the  effect to Creed II( 2018), the third in the Creed film series, and the ninth overall in the Rocky film series.

 It also stars Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Mila Davis- Kent, Florian Munteanu and Phylicia Rashad. In the film, the accomplished and  lately retired  prizefighter Adonis Creed( Jordan) comes face- to- face with his nonage friend and former boxing  sensation Damian Anderson( Majors).   A third Creed film was officially  blazoned in September 2019, alongside Jordan's return; he was also  verified to be making his  managerial debut in October 2020

 Majors and the remainder of the cast joined between November 2021 and September 2022; Creed III is the first film in the series not to feature Sylvester Stallone reprising his  part as Rocky Balboa, though he's credited as a patron alongside Ryan Coogler, who contributed to the film's story. star photography began in January 2022 and lasted until that April, with filming  locales including Los Angeles, Tampa, and Georgia.   Creed III first premiered in Mexico City on February 9, 2023. It was  also theatrically released in the United States on March 3 as the first film distributed by Metro- Goldwyn- Mayer after its accession by Amazon and the dissolution of United Artists Releasing in March 2023.( 5) The film  entered positive reviews from critics and has grossed over$ 274 million worldwide, making it the tenth-loftiest grossing film of 2023.

  Plot  In 2002 Los Angeles, a  youthful Adonis" Donnie" Creed sneaks out with his stylish friend, Golden Gloves champion Damian" Diamond Dame" Anderson, to watch him  contend in an underground boxing match. After Dame's palm, he tells Donnie about his  bournes  to turn professional and come a world champion. During a  diversion at a liquor store, Donnie impulsively attacks a man named Leon, and Dame is arrested while Donnie escapes.   In the present day, Donnie has retired from boxing to  concentrate on his  woman

             Bianca and their son Amara, whose  hail impairment has since led the family to come fluent in American subscribe Language. Donnie runs Delphi Boxing Academy with Tony" Little Duke" EversJr. and is promoting his protégé, world champion Felix" El Guerrero" Chavez, in a match against Viktor Drago. While the two watch the declining health of Donnie's consanguineous  mama  Mary- Anne, Amara aspires to come a  prizefighter like Donnie, which gets her into trouble at  academy for punching another pupil.   Released from captivity, Dame reconnects with Donnie and shares his desire to  renew his boxing career. Donnie reluctantly invites Dame to the  spa but his presence draws  despisement from Chavez and Duke. Dame  latterly visits Donnie's home, where he meets his family and recounts their time together at a group home, a story that Bianca had  noway  heard. intimately, Dame asks for a title shot against Chavez, but Donnie refuses.

 After Drago is attacked by an unknown  bushwhacker at a party for Bianca's record marker, which casts  mistrustfulness on his capability to  share in his  forthcoming fight, Donnie nominates Dame as Drago's  relief. Dame wins the undisputed heavyweight crown in a fight against Chavez atCrypto.com Arena.   Following the match, an uneasy Donnie visits Mary- Anne, who shows him letters Dame had written to Donnie while in captivity that she kept from him due to her believing that he was a bad influence. One letter contains a picture showing Dame with a fellow capture that Donnie recognizes as Drago's  bushwhacker. Realizing Dame orchestrated the attack, Donnie confronts him, and Dame admits that he manipulated him into getting the title shot. Donnie is  unfit to open up to Bianca about his guilt over Dame, who  ploys in his newfound fame and intimately slanders Donnie as a fraud who turned his  reverse on him.   Mary- Anne suffers another stroke and dies. After her burial, Donnie confesses to Bianca about the night of Dame's arrest, revealing Leon to be the  vituperative caregiver in their group home before he was  espoused. After Donnie attacked Leon at the liquor store, the preceding brawl with Leon's  musketeers caused Dame to pull a gun.

 After Dame was arrested, Donnie  noway   communicated  Dame out of guilt.   Encouraged by Bianca, Donnie decides to come out of  withdrawal and challenges Dame for the crown, which he accepts. After training with Duke and a recovered Drago, Donnie faces Dame in the" Battle of Los Angeles" at Dodger Stadium. In a  challenging, unevenly- matched affair, Donnie has  fancies of his  vituperative foster home and Dame's life in jail, leading to a knockdown in the final round. Donnie knocks out Dame to win the match and  recapture the crown. subsequently, Donnie reconciles with Dame, with both men admitting it wasn't the other's fault. Donnie joins Bianca and Amara in the ring in the empty  colosseum, where he pretends to box with Amara. As Donnie and his family leave the ring, he looks out on to the empty Dodger Stadium
